Details

AES77 recommends −16 LUFS Distribution Loudness for track-normalized music and a Maximum True Peak no higher than −1 dBTP at the input of a lossy encoder. This Profile warns above the nominal target rather than treating the permitted upper tolerance as an operating goal. AES77 separately recommends −14 LUFS for the loudest track when album-loudest-track normalization is used; that workflow depends on relationships across an album and is intentionally not represented by this single-item Profile. AES77 does not prescribe Loudness Range, so no LRA rule is added.
