Details

AES77 recommends −18 LUFS Distribution Loudness for speech-led internet audio and a Maximum True Peak no higher than −1 dBTP at the input of a lossy encoder. This Profile uses whole-program Integrated Loudness and is intended for speech-only or strongly speech-dominant material. For assorted content with a separately measurable speech anchor, AES77 instead calls for Dialogue Integrated Loudness with an upper tolerance; PLVS does not claim that this Profile replaces that dialogue measurement workflow. The warning begins above the nominal target rather than encouraging operation at the upper tolerance.
