Details

EBU R 128 S2 prefers programmes to remain at −23 LUFS with accurate loudness metadata. When a broadcaster instead adapts content before streaming, S2 permits an interim Distribution Loudness Level from −20 to −16 LUFS. This Profile uses the midpoint, −18 LUFS, as its reference and warns outside that range; −18 LUFS is not presented as the only EBU streaming target. The True Peak check follows the R 128 production ceiling inherited by programmes prepared for this workflow.
